In this workshop, we will show you how to discover and describe different smells and flavors.
We will teach you how to confidently analyze and describe a wine in its elements.
This course provides you with the basics and a starter kit for all other wine courses. We recommend this course as an entry point and foundation for all other courses.
You will learn:
- The wine glass - why shape is important
- Drinking temperatures - how temperature affects the taste
- Sensory analysis using eyes, nose, and palate - 3 step system
- Sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent, and carbonation
- Practical tasting with description of aromas and impressions
- Wine faults - what 'bad wine' tastes like
