AWC – Advanced Wine Certificate

    • 13 sessions · 48 classroom hours

    • Intermediate-to-advanced level in the ISG pathway

    • Builds on IWC with deeper regional theory, tasting and service

    • Written and tasting examinations (three exam components)

    • Minimum 60% in each exam required to pass and progress towards the Sommelier Diploma

    • In-person, classroom-style course in Switzerland

    • Taught in English • ISG advanced textbooks and structured learning materials included

    • Guided comparative tastings, interactive lectures, exam-focused reviews and quizzes

    • Successful completion of IWC (or equivalent) required 

    • Strongly recommended for professionals aiming at the Sommelier Diploma Program

    • Currently offered in English only in Switzerland

    • Course materials are being translated into German and French; teaching in DE/FR is planned from September 2026

    • Course fee: CHF 2,400.
