Champagne Specialist – Official Champagne Course with Certification Deepen your knowledge of the fascinating world of Champagne with the official Champagne Specialist course from the Comité Champagne. This internationally recognized Champagne course combines in-depth expertise with hands-on tastings and concludes with official certification. During 14 hours of in-person instruction over two days, you will learn about the history of Champagne, viticulture and production, professional tasting techniques, food pairing, and the art of perfect Champagne service. In the Champagne course, you will learn: • Viticulture and vinification in Champagne • How to professionally taste and evaluate Champagne • How to understand and interpret Champagne labels • Food and Champagne pairings • Storage and professional service This course is suitable for: • Sommeliers • Professionals in the gastronomy and hospitality industry • Employees in the wine trade • Ambitious wine lovers with in-depth wine knowledge Prerequisites: • Champagne Education E-Learning Level 1–3 • WSET Level 2 Wines, Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Certificate, or Wine Education Sparkling Wine Preparation Course Included in the course fee: • 14 hours of in-person instruction, including tastings of at least 14 high-quality Champagnes • Official Champagne Specialist Workbook • Printed certificate upon successful completion of the final exam • Lunch on both course days Course schedule: • Two course days from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. • Final exam on the second course day Final exam: • Theory: 30 multiple-choice and open-ended questions • Practical exercise: Blind tasting of two champagnes, including sensory evaluation, presentation, and food pairing suggestions. Cancellation Policy
Course Booking & Cancellation Policy 1. Eligibility Participation in our courses is limited to individuals 18 years of age or older. 2. Booking and Payment A place in the course is confirmed only after full payment has been received. All course fees include study materials, course books, and the examination fee, unless otherwise stated. No additional costs are required for these components. 3. Cancellation Policy Participants may cancel their booking up to 14 days before the course start date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the course begins are not eligible for a refund. In such cases, the participant will be transferred to the next available course session at no additional cost. If a participant cannot attend individual sessions due to personal circumstances, missed sessions cannot be refunded. 4. Course Transfer Participants who cannot attend a course may request one transfer to the next scheduled course date. Additional transfers may be subject to administrative approval. 5. Intellectual Property & Study Materials All course materials, including books, handouts, presentations, and digital content, are protected by copyright. It is strictly prohibited to copy, reproduce, distribute, photograph, scan, or share course materials, including posting images of the content online, without prior written authorization. Unauthorized use or distribution of course materials may result in removal from the course without refund and potential legal action. 6. Conduct During the Course Participants are expected to maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the course. The following behaviors are not permitted: Cheating or academic misconduct during examinations or assignments Disruptive behavior during sessions Repeated lateness or absence without notice Violation of intellectual property rules Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the course without refund. 7. Photography and Social Media Participants may take and share photos during course sessions only with the approval of the course conductor and with respect for the privacy of other participants. 8. Course Changes The organizer reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to course schedules, instructors, or locations if necessary.
