I didn't choose wine — wine chose me. And once it did, - back in the USA - I knew that sharing that knowledge was not just a profession, it was a responsibility.
In a world where wine lists grow longer and grape varieties multiply, the ability to navigate, understand and articulate wine is no longer a luxury — it is a professional necessity."
I have worked in the wine industry for more than a decade in the United States and nearly another decade in Europe. My expertise brings together two essential sides of the profession: practical restaurant experience and academic wine education.
For many years, I worked as a Head Sommelier, where my role focused on wine sales, decision-making, service standards, team training, and beverage program development. Later, in 2019 I transitioned from the restaurant service into education, working as an academic wine and oenology lecturer and developing wine programs designed to support the needs of the hospitality industry in several hospitality business schools in Switzerland. While working as Head Sommelier for a large international hotel group and travelling across Europe to support hotel openings, I saw a clear gap in the market.
There was a real need for professional wine education that was practical, structured, flexible and directly relevant to the hospitality industry. Some courses were created mainly for wine enthusiasts, while others focused almost entirely on exams without any structured
What was missing was a school that truly supported professionals working in restaurants, hotels, bars, and wine service. That is why I founded WE Wine Education in February 2023.
Since then, we have successfully offered certification courses for both beginners and professionals. Due to our significant growth in 2025, we received our Swiss accreditation (ASSP) and international license (ISG) for our sommelier courses.
This opens doors to wine certification programs across Switzerland that have not been accessible until now.
Wine has been part of my life since before I could name a grape variety — growing up in the shadow of Hermitage, it was simply the landscape I breathed. But it was the years of study, service and dedication that taught me what wine truly demands: humility, curiosity, and an endless willingness to learn. That is exactly what I hope to pass on."
Born in the heartland of the Rhône Valley in France, I grew up surrounded by vineyards and the outstanding landscape of the Hermitage hill. That connection with wine has stayed with me ever since. But the three years spent in England havetruly shaped my path. Working in high-standard fine dining establishments, immersed in the energy of London and at the centre of Europe's wine industry, I discovered how broad and thrilling the world of wine could be. It was also where I first stepped into the world of the Court of Master Sommeliers.
When Covid changed the direction of my life, I found my way to the quietness of Switzerland, where I developed a concept-led wine list at Njorden restaurant. That chapter deepened my appreciation for what thoughtful wine curation can bring to a dining experience.

Meanwhile, after eight years of dedication and long hours of study, I successfully passed my Master Sommelier examination in 2025, joining fewer than 300 professionals worldwide who hold this title.
I am now at a point where I feel compelled to share my passion for wine, with the next generation of sommeliers, and with anyone who simply loves what's in the glass.
My aim is to keep wine education approachable, engaging, and genuinely exciting. That is why I am delighted that to partner with WE Wine Education and since 2025 we share the same vision of profesional, structured wine education in Switzerland.
