One grape and it's many faces

Service Description
The Concept A global tour through Pinot Noir's most expressive terroirs — Burgundy, the US, New Zealand, Hungary and beyond — designed to reveal how dramatically one grape can change with place. Given the subtlety involved, this chapter uses a sharper, blind comparative tasting format to keep enthusiasts engaged and maintain the premium standard of the series. The aim is to understand how climate and terroir shape this delicate grape variety — opening with a reflection on Blanc de Noirs, and closing, unexpectedly, with a sweet Pinot Noir expression. The Wines Paired blind comparisons across contrasting Pinot Noir terroirs (e.g. Burgundy vs. New World), rather than a full line-up tasted side by side — designed to make each terroir's imprint easier to isolate and discuss. Learning Objective: Understanding the influence of climate and terroir on a delicate grape variety like Pinot Noir — from a Blanc de Noirs opening reflection to a sweet Pinot Noir close. Two things worth confirming: the exact pairing logic for the blind comparisons (which regions go head-to-head, and in what order), and whether Food should stay open or you have a pairing concept in mind already. The Details Format: Seated guided tasting, blind comparative pairs (Burgundy vs. New World, etc.) Wines: Pinot Noir across Burgundy, the US, New Zealand, Hungary and beyond; opens with a Blanc de Noirs reflection, closes with a sweet Pinot Noir Food: pairing bites specifically for Pinot Noir Duration: Approximately 2.5 – 3 hours Level: Accessible to intermediate Language: English Hosted by: Lilla Fülöp, Certified Wine Educator Tony Lécuroux, Master Sommelier
